NextEra Energy Investments (NEI) is hosting a competition for startups, giving them a chance to win up to $500,000 in seed capital investment.

The seed competition is designed for entrepreneurs who want to work with NextEra Energy to solve critical problems within cybersecurity, data and AI, decarbonization and energy transition.

NEI, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy (NEE), provides more than capital funding. It provides access to industry-leading expertise, a powerful network of best-in-class businesses and the ability to leverage their investment operations platform to support your company’s mission.

Competition Criteria:

• Pre-Series A
• An entity doing business in the U.S.
• Business plan with three-year forecasts
